Message Use a dremel. Harbor Freight sells an attachment kit for ~$16 that includes a piece that is rough and is needle-like thin. This thing gets inside the connectors and removes corrosion completely.

An LED light on your forehead helps a ton.

After cleaning, use a dental pick set to bend the connections for a tight fit.

Spray w/ electrical contact cleaner.

Use a silicone sealer to seal out moisture from the cracked connector boots; the black permatex tube is good. This is a great preventative maintenance step.

Fill the connector with dielectric grease and reconnect.
